Delete your account or data
Don't Break Two gives you two deletion options: you can delete selected app data while keeping your account, or permanently delete your account and associated account data.
Delete habit history without deleting your account
You can remove your habit history while keeping your Don't Break Two account active.
- Open Don't Break Two and sign in.
- Open Settings.
- Select Reset habit history.
- Confirm the reset.
This removes the habit-history data covered by the reset while keeping your account available for continued use. Other account data and settings that are not part of the reset remain intact.
Delete your account
You can delete your Don't Break Two account directly inside the app. This removes the server account used for authentication and server-backed services. After the server deletion succeeds, the app also removes that account's local Don't Break Two data from the current device and returns to the authentication flow.
Delete from the app
- Open Don't Break Two and sign in.
- Open Settings.
- Open the account section.
- Select Delete account and confirm the deletion.
If you cannot access the app
Send an email from the address associated with your account to howtohabit.service@gmail.com with the subject “Don't Break Two account deletion”. We may ask you to verify control of the account before processing the request.
What is deleted when you delete your account
The server account and account-bound data that is no longer required for legal, security, fraud-prevention or purchase-record obligations will be deleted. This can include authentication/account records and server-backed service data associated with the account. For deletion initiated successfully inside the app, that account's local Don't Break Two data is also removed from the current device after the server deletion completes.
What is not automatically deleted
- Deleting the account does not cancel a Google Play or App Store subscription. Store subscriptions must be cancelled through the relevant store account.
- Data on another device is not automatically erased merely because the current device completed local cleanup; each device remains subject to its own app/platform state.
- If you previously opted in to Product analytics, historical PostHog events are not automatically deleted by account deletion because the launch analytics configuration does not send the Don't Break Two account ID or email address. Turning analytics off stops future analytics transmission.
- Shared aggregate trajectory-model parameters cannot be attributed back to an individual account because individual training samples are not retained as a per-user dataset.
Retention
Information that must be retained for legal obligations, security, fraud prevention or purchase records may be kept only for the required or reasonably necessary period. See the Privacy Policy for additional detail.
